to machine our pulleys. PNM Co.
was voted by American
Machinist Magazine as one of the 10 best machine
shops in the United States. These pulleys are manufactured
from High Quality Billet 6061 T6 Aluminum. They are
CNC machined and then anodized to help protect them from
nicks and scratches. The timing marks are then CNC
machined into the face of the crank pulley to insure accuracy
(These are not Glued on Timing Marks).
The base that bolts to the generator stand is made from one solid
piece of billet 6061 T6 aluminum for added strength, then
anodized for protection. The slider and idler roller are also
made from 6061 T6 billet aluminum, then anodized. Installed in
the idler pulley are two high speed chrome sealed ball
bearings(rated up to 35,000 RPM). If you would like to upgrade to
ceramic bearings or a bearing should ever go out, they are easily
replaced by using snap-ring pliers. The bearings and belts are
standard sizes so they can be purchased from a variety of
retailers.
BMD's VW Serpentine Belt Pulley Kit includes everything
needed to convert your old V-belt system to the efficient BMD
serpentine system. Any of our kits can be machined for bolt-on or
machined-in sand seals.
